Accessibility statement

LANA Organic strives to make its website lana-organic.de accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the associated technical standards, in particular EN 301 549 in conjunction with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.

Status of compliance with requirements

The website lana-organic.de is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.

Not all content currently fully meets the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are working to gradually reduce existing barriers and continuously improve the accessibility of our website.

For visually impaired users, we offer support via Isonomy Accessibility to make the site easier to use.

Non-accessible content

The following content and functions are not yet fully accessible:

Alternative text :
Some product images and decorative graphics do not yet have meaningful alternative text.

Contrasts :
Individual text elements or controls (buttons, links) do not have the required color contrast in all states (e.g. hover, focus).

Keyboard operation :
The focus is sometimes not consistently visible or does not always jump through all the controls in a logical order.

Forms and error messages :
Some form fields (e.g., in the checkout or contact form) are not yet fully equipped with meaningful labels or error messages that are reliably recognized by screen reader software.

PDF documents / downloads (if available) :
Some older PDF documents are not yet accessible.

Justification / Timetable:
Implementing full accessibility requires adjustments to the website's design, source code, and content. This work will be carried out gradually through relaunches and ongoing development. We plan to eliminate significant barriers by the end of [date/year]. to fix by 2026 and to continuously optimize accessibility.

Preparation of this declaration

This statement was created on November 27, 2025 .

The assessment of the website's compliance with the requirements is based on:

  • an internal technical review (self-assessment) based on WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA as well as
  • the use of the automated testing tool WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WebAIM).

Automated tests cannot detect all possible barriers. Therefore, additional measures were taken. Manual sample checks (including keyboard navigation and screen reader tests) were performed.

The statement is reviewed and updated at least once a year and on an ad hoc basis (e.g. after major relaunches).

No formal enforcement procedure

For private companies like LANA Organic, there is no special, legally regulated complaint or arbitration procedure for the accessibility of company websites in North Rhine-Westphalia, as is provided for public bodies.

Regardless of this, as a consumer you naturally have the option of contacting the relevant authorities in the event of serious or repeated violations of legal requirements – for example, under the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) or general consumer protection regulations.

  • the relevant market surveillance or supervisory authorities

to turn.
